Welcome to MOUNTAIN HIGH FARMS

We did not inherit our land from our ancestors, we borrowed it from our children

Mountain High Farms was born out of a shared vision in late 2019, to create a premier grazing farm dedicated to breeding the finest and registered Black Angus cattle in Armenia.

Our mission is to produce ecologically clean food while upholding a tradition of excellence in the husbandry of highly productive animals with exceptional genetics, all within a pristine, regenerative pasture environment.

At Mountain High Farms, our simple yet effective approach connects animals grazing in a stress-free natural environment, where they graze on meadows brimming with lush vegetation, bathed in fresh air along the banks of serene mountain streams. This natural synergy produces the highest quality, healthiest, tender, and flavorful foods we are proud to offer while promoting ecological health.

Our farm is strategically located in the breathtaking Dilijan National Park, which boasts 140 species of diverse vegetation, an extensive network of crystal-clear rivers and streams, and elevations ranging from 1,700 to 2,400 meters above sea level. This unique environment supports our commitment to raising animals that thrive in optimal conditions, resulting in meat that stands out for its flavor and tenderness.

Higher elevations provide key advantage:

the ultra-violet rays from the sun enhance the flavor and nutritional profile of our meats. The quality of our pristine water sources and the richness of our diverse vegetation further ensure the production of exceptional-quality meat. Initially, we focused on breeding Black Angus cattle, which are renowned for their flavor and tenderness. We later introduced Dorper sheep to enrich our pastures and benefit from their high-quality meat. Looking ahead, we also plan to add pastured chicken and pigs to diversify our offerings.

Throughout the year, our animals roam freely across lush, mesophilous pastures nestled in mountainous terrain, surrounded by forests rich in biodiversity. Our pastures host over 95 types of plants, including various edible herbs and rare medicinal plants. By contrast, typical pastures contain only 20 to 30 plant species. In addition to this diverse forage, our animals also enjoy a wide variety of wild fruits and berries available in the area. We specialize in acorn-finished Black Angus beef and Dorper lamb, both renowned for their exceptional quality and taste.
